Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel Named as FCC Acting Chairwoman
At the Annual NEBSA Board of Directors Meeting, Eric Smith was named as the Board Chair. Mr. Smith succeeds Lynn Rejniak who successfully served as Chair from 2007- 2019 and was instrumental in the leadership and growth of the organization. Ms. Rejniak tenure was noted for dealing with numerous EBS regulatory and technical issues with the FCC.
Ms. Rejniak was honored for her outstanding achievements and vision at the NEBSA 2020 Annual Conference. She has also agreed to continue serving on the NEBSA Board of Directors.
Mr. Smith brings decades of experience as a nationally recognized innovator in EBS operations and serving rural populations. He also serves as the Director of Broadcast and AV Services at Northern Michigan University of WNMU, the PBS affiliate in Marquette Michigan.
