The NEBSA 2010 Annual Convention will be held

February  22 -25, 2010 at

The Green Valley Ranch Resort in Clark County, Nevada.

 

NEBSA 2010 will once again provide you  the opportunity to learn about and experience the latest information on a variety of EBS topics.  Convention sessions will focus on issues that licensees need to know about as they seek to preserve and obtain the maximum benefit from their EBS Spectrum.

 

NEBSA EBS Licensees and other EBS industry representatives will gather in Henderson, NV   to visit the new Vegas PBS and Clark County School District green Education Technology Campus.  This environmentally friendly education center (submitted for LEED Gold Certification) is a pioneering effort between the PBS station and school district.

The Campus houses the Clark County School District’s Virtual High School and Educational Media Center, Homeland Security and Emergency Response support system and all Vegas PBS departments.  The campus offers a data repository for state and county emergency communications and will be built with various materials and techniques that meet LEED standards for sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, waste management, recycling and indoor environment quality. Vegas PBS intends to pursue a LEED Gold Certification for

the campus.

 

In addition to having this stellar facility available as part of the convention agenda, Clearwire launched its 4G service in the Las Vegas area on July 21.   Being able to experience WiMax and innovative education were two strong reasons for considering Clark County.  

 

Clearwire Communications, LLC, an operating subsidiary of Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ:CLWR), offers a robust suite of advanced high-speed internet services to consumers and businesses. As part of a multi-year network build-out plan, Clearwire's 4G service, called CLEAR(TM), will be available in major metropolitan areas across the U.S

 

Clearwire Communications CLEAR has announced plans to provide dozens of embedded WiMAX laptops based on Intel(R) Centrino(R) 2 processor technology, as well as netbooks based on Intel(R) Atom(TM) processors, with CLEAR service to the Clark County School District's Virtual High School before the start of the next school year.

 

And, you must remember that the FCC still holds your licensee responsible for assuring that your spectrum leases delivers  the required minimum educational service.  At NEBSA 2010 attendees will hear from other licensees who are, or will be, doing that and more.
